Biografia de Barry White
¿Quién es Barry White? - Barry White nació en Galveston, Texas, Estados Unidos, un 12 de setiembre de 1944, bajo el nombre de Barry Eugene Carter. Creció en Los Ángeles en el seno de una familia pobre. Sin embargo, desde muy niño entró al mundo de la música cuando entró a una fraternidad en la que tocaba el piano y antaba en el coro de la iglesia. Rápidamente fue promovido a Director del coro. - - Su primer trabajo importante fue a los 11 años cuando estuvo en las teclas de "Goodnight My Love" de Jesse Belvin. - - Durante los años sesenta grabó varios discos bajo su nombre real y como integrante de los "Upfronts", los "Atlantics" y los "Majestics". Sin embargo, su mayor éxito vino como productor de artistas como Felice Taylor y Viola Wills. - - En 1969 formó "Love Unlimited" un trío vocal femenino en el que estaban Diane Taylor, la que sería su esposa Goldean James y su hermana Linda. También armó la orquesta de 40 piezas del mismo nombre que serviría de compañía para él y su trío. El conducía, componía y arreglaba para esta gigantesca estructura. - - En 1972, Love Unlimited conoció el éxito con "Walkin' In The Rain With The One I Love", un tema en el que White hablaba sensualmente al teléfono. Este vento relanzó su carrera y facilitó que canciones como "I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More Baby", "Never, Never Gonna Give Ya Up" (1973), "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Babe" y "You're The First, The Last, My Everything" (1974) llegaran a los primeros lugares de las listas en Estados Unidos y en Inglaterra. - - Su último gran éxito fue en 1977 cuando "It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me" llegó a las 5 primeras en los Estados Unidos.
